Brews & Broomsticks Pub Crawl

10/19/2018 Update: Online sales remain open, but will be closing in advance of the event this evening.  If you still wish to purchase tickets after online sales have ended, please come to the Chestnut Hill Welcome Center at 8514 Germantown Avenue to purchase them in person.

Friday, October 19, 7:30 – 10 pm

What: A new twist on a former fan-favorite, this updated Pub Crawl offers an evening of magical fun including spirited food and drink specials, live DJ entertainment, two outdoor beer gardens, costumed actors and fortune tellers along Germantown Avenue, performances by circus aerialists and fire-breathers, a recreational archery range, a costume contest at the Venetian Social Club, and The Franklin Institute’s popular Science After Hours showcase.

Where: 10 Participating bars and restaurants from 7700 to 8700 Germantown Avenue. See below for bar locations and additional details on entertainment, activities, and specials at local businesses. 

Pub Crawl Tickets: $25 per person, pay-as-you-go food & drink specials. Purchase tickets today! Once the participating bars reach capacity, only ticket holders will be permitted to enter.

The Brews & Broomsticks Pub Crawl ticket includes:

  • Wristband entitling you to exclusive discounted drink specials ($4 beer, $5 wine, $6 cocktails) at 10 participating locations for the duration of the event.
  • Witches & Wizards swag: Reusable bag, cup, and t-shirt
  • 1 free activity ticket: Good for fortune-telling, caricaturist, or glow-in-the-dark face painting
  • Pub Crawl map, featuring the locations of all programmed activities and exclusive specials at local businesses

Beat the crowd and pick up your swag before the event at the Chestnut Hill Business Association office at 8514 Germantown Avenue! Ticketholders will be contacted at the email provided to TicketLeap to announce when wristbands and swag are available for pick-up.

The Franklin Institute’s Science After Hours:

  • Wizard School is in session! Science After Hours is an evening event series exclusively for adults ages 21+ featuring experiments, demonstrations, games, and innovative and engaging science curated by Philadelphia’s premier science museum in collaboration with organizations across the city.

Parking:

Five public paid parking lots will be open throughout Chestnut Hill during the event. Lot locations and pricing can be found at chestnuthillpa.com/parking. Limited street parking is also available. As parking capacity is limited, visitors traveling to Chestnut Hill for Witches & Wizards are strongly encouraged to utilize public transportation.

Public Transportation:

Public transportation is the most convenient way to travel to and from Chestnut Hill. SEPTA (Philadelphia’s regional transit system) has two station stops in Chestnut Hill located just a short walk from the heart of the community: Chestnut Hill West and Chestnut Hill East.
